Originally the site of a working farm, , Bradbury House is a new learning and development centre near Tiverton. The original 100 acre farm contained consists of a large farmhouse, and extensive outbuildings, set in a secluded area of North Devon
The scheme consists of 5 new buildings comprising apartments and communal areas along with the refurbishment of existing barns, utilised as classrooms and additional communal space.
Bradbury House supports a mixed group of adults, with learning disabilities across a broad spectrum, offering both residential and day-care facilities with a focus on fulfilling the potential of residents through the development of vocational and life skills.
Morgan Civil and Structural provided site-wide civil engineering support and structural engineering services on both the barn conversion and the new build elements.
The heavily sloping ground and sharp changes in bedrock depth provided challenges for Morgan Civil and Structural to overcome.
