Project Overview
In the heart of Bristol City Centre on Telephone Avenue, the historic Armada House hosted her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when she made the first non-operator telephone call in the UK.
Dating back to 1903 and built in an Edwardian baroque style, the restoration of Armada House into a versatile contemporary venue required cleverly planned modernisation, ensuring features such as the building’s two fireplaces (one of which dates back to 1550), were celebrated in the design and the sense of grandeur of the iconic building maintained in its characterful rooms.

New spaces were created with any required structural work respecting the iconic buildings’ original architecture. The venue now boasts a stunning new bar area, rentable offices, a spa and roof terrace all of which provide state-of-the-art modern facilities that blend seamlessly with the historical features.
